Florence is the place to go to see some of the greatest art pieces and architecture in the world and we had the best time there. The three days we spent in the amazing city was not enough, and we saw just the tip of the iceberg of what there is to do. I realize I sound like a broken record by now, but I could have spent a month there and still not see everything.

We were able to see the Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, and many of the interesting squares. We also enjoyed strolling by the many churches such as Santa Maria Novella, the Basilica di San Lorenzo, and the Santa Croce which we did take a tour of. The Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral is the most visible church of Florence and worth stopping and taking in its architecture. We didn’t take a tour inside. The lines were long to get in, but the Cathedral is free and no need for a ticket. We sat on a bench outside and had to lift up our jaws. It was breathtaking.

There are so many places to get your art fix in. Uffizi is one of the best art museums in the world. We loved the layout and it was easy to find your favorite artist’s room. Like I said, I wish we had more time to explore this amazing and energized city.

Until we meet again Florence. You won our hearts!
